1984
  • Founded by Michael Schweizer
  • Start as a 2 man firm

 

1985
  • Successful start into the AV world
  • Main turn over in multi-image control systems
  • Exclusive distibutor for companies such as AVL, New Jersey and NAVITAR, New York
     
1986
  • Take-over of other distributor ships:
    • HOKUSHIN/YOKOGAWA ,xenon projectors
    • AAA, projector stacking systems
    • OXBERRY, animation cameras
1989
  • Release of the first VICOM product: The high intensity slide projector SUPERNOVA
  • Extention of the development department to a profit center
     
1991
  • Taking over the distribution rights for GE TALARIA projectors for Germany

 

1992
  • Taking over the distribution rights for CRESTRON touchpanels und control units 

 

1993
  • Delivery of projectors for Germanys leading TV-sports show Sat.1 "ran"
  • Introducing a new VICOM product: A surtitle system for operas and theatres

 

1994
  • Supplying surtitle systems to the opera houses of Cologne, Barcelona, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Madrid, Hamburg and others
     
1995
  • Introducing a new VICOM product: The high power video- and data projector SIRIUS (2400 ANSI-lumens)
     
1999
  • Engineering projekt to develop a control system for monitoring
  • Moving into an own business complex near the city of Goeppingen.
2000
  • Founding VICOM USA to serve the market in USA, Canada and Mexico at its best.
  • Many rentals of VICOM projectors for Broadway shows

2001

  • Introduction of WEGA 1200 projector with revolutionary 30000 Lumens
  • Installation of 28 WEGA 1200 projectors for a casino in Connecticut. They present fantastic shows daily in the worlds biggest dome projection.
2002
  • Planning and installation of several pavillions during EXPO in Switzerland, incl. maintenance for the rental time of 7 months.
  • Introduction of DMX-Link. An interface to convert DMX-512 signals to RS-232
2004
  • Introduction of "soundproof housings". Custom made solutions to get noiseless projectors

2005

  • Introduction of "weatherproof housings". Enclosures to get all-waether-protection for projectors and monitors
  • Starting to develop VisGuide, the digital signage suite
2008
  • Installation of many projections with SunScreen at the soccer stadium Sinsheim, been used by TSG 1899 Hoffenheim

2009

  • Engineering of the first surtitle system based on seat displays in Germany. Installed at Komische Oper, Berlin

2011

  • Engineering and installation of numerous weatherproof housings and special stacking systems for a big amusement park located east of Paris, France
